Dress Style: Very different from your normal collage professor, he dress with style. Sometimes it looks like he just goes to his dresser and pulls out what’s on top and puts in on.
Personality: Ian is the type of person who can find something amazing in the middle of nowhere. He’s the guy on the street you ask for the time and he quotes something poetic. He’s awfully quite but when he teaches a class he’s more of a teacher but outside of the class room he spaces out and loses track of what’s going on around him. Adding to that he comes off as extremely shy and closed off.
History
Ian lived in Brooklyn, New York with his family for 9 years. His twin brother Grant being his best friend because everyone else found him strange, Grant was bigger and stronger then his brother so he was the one who was always saving Ian from being beat up by the school bully or the bigger kids. Ian and Grant did everything together. Ian would read to Grant and help him with his homework; Grant would help Ian with sports and such. When Ian was nine there house was ‘broken’ into and his father and brother killed.
After the death of his father and brother, Ian and his mother moved to England, where his mother was from. The two had always been very close and when Ian was 11 he started to notice that his mother wasn’t who she was before the deaths. Ian started to take care of his mother when he found her drug stash. He asked her about it and she told him it was because she wanted to forget and Ian knew then that she wasn’t ever going to take care of herself or be herself again.
The next two years of his life he spent working hard at school and taking care of his mother. When he was at school he stayed away from everyone else, teachers started to notice and worry came over some of them. But here is where a girl named Abigail Swann befriended him. After that they spent most of there time together, when he wasn’t with his mother or working on school.
Abigail and him stayed friends tell Ian meat Jason Davenport at age 14 Ian secretly fell in love with Jason who was a big junkie. For a year Ian spent time with Jason and Abigail but when Jason gave Ian drugs because he was depressed, Abigail wouldn’t hang out with either of the boys. When Ian was 16 Jason had him tripped out on speed or dropping acid. Ian would go home after a ‘date’ with Jason and do drugs with his mother.
At age 17 Ian started to feel like drug did more harm to him then good so he started to stop, but what really made him stop was when Jason over dosed on heroin. After the death of Jason Ian went fast at work at school, even if he could have made the top 10 of his class he didn’t because of some slip ups in school the years before. He went to collage to become a teacher because Jason had told him he would be good at teaching people who to write.
When he was 22, eight years after Abigail said good bye to Ian they meat again at the same collage. Ian asked her out at one point because he had thought that Abigail left him those years before because he of his sexuality. They dated for 4 weeks before Ian got Abigail pregnant. He wouldn’t let her drop out of school because he was the one who had made this mess. That Christmas, December 27th, Jason Grant Mitchell was born. They never married and Ian came clean about being gay, Abigail and him are still as close as they once had been years before. Ian gets to see Jason Grant on Christmas break and in the summer. Ian wanted to teach in Ireland because that was where his brother had wanted to go.
